Prior to your treatment avoid fillers or injectables for 2-3 weeks. Avoid prescription retinols, active acids and/or topicals for 3 days. If you are receiving any brow enhancements or facial waxing stop ALL topicals 1 week beforehand. No chemical or physical exfoliants the day before.
MICROCURRENT
If you are receiving a microcurrent treatment please make sure you are clear of all these contraindications.
+ Epilepsy
+ Pregnancy
+ Heart Condition
+ Pacemakers
+ Internal metal plates or pins
+ 5 or more metal dental fillings or bridgework
+ Cancer within the past 2 years
+ Thrombosis
+ Diabetes
+ Botox/Fillers within a 2 week time frame
+ Any condition that results in the loss of facial sensation
+ Migraines
+ Use of Roaccutane / Accutane
LED LIGHT THERAPY
If you are receiving a LED treatment please make sure you are clear of these common contraindications.
+ Pregnancy
+ Epilepsy
+ Photosensitive ocular conditions
+ Active cancer within the past two years
+ Photosensitive skin conditions
+ Albinism
+ Lupus
+ Any medications that increase light sensitivity, such as Roaccutane/Accutane, antibiotics, and steroids.
+ If you experience light-induced headaches
+ Claustrophobia
+ If you have received Botox within the last two weeks or fillers within the last four weeks
CHEMICAL PEELS
If you are receiving a chemical peel please make sure you are clear of these contraindications.
+ Use of Accutane®, Retin-A®, or other medications that exfoliate or thin the skin within 6 months
+ Recent cosmetic surgery, laser resurfacing, deep or medium depth chemical peels or dermabrasion
+ Severe rosacea or acne
+ Easily scars or has hyper-pigmentation tendencies
+ Pregnancy – always consult with your obstetrician prior to receiving chemical peels
+ Breast-feeding
+ Sunburn or irritated skin
+ Open sores or lesions
+ Infectious disease
+ Prone to or active Herpes Simplex
+ Diabetes
+ High blood pressure
+ Heart disease
+ Deficient immune system
+ Permanent cosmetics–wait 7 days then cover with occlusive barrier
+ Anxiety/prone to panic attacks
+ Allergy to aspirin
